This week I watched the TV mini Series “The color of Magic” I feel that the color of magic follows the hero’s journey totally. With Rinceweed as the main protagonist. It follows every aspect In fact it was very clear what was wich part. Some examples are. Rincewind is called to adventure with the tourist (Twoflower) that arrives to town. Then refuses but Twoflower magic chest brings him back. The supernatural aid Rincewind receives is the magic sword He is trials when we is called to dual with the people who captured him. And if this movie isn't strong enough, they are fighting upside down. The movie is interesting. This TV mini series, felt like Neverland, a similar magical story, this one involving the origin of Peter Pan.

I watched Suspiria (1977) and right from the beginning I found the style very strange. The music reminded me of something from a wes anderson film. Ad well as the colors when the main character enters the building. I had a hard time figuring out how this movie involved witches. I felt the strongest part in the movie was definitely the sound. The overall theme or sound track was repetitive and effective in sounding creepy with the voices and foley. The first time the word witch is used at all in the movie is an hour and 15 min into it

"King Rat" by China Mieville I read King Rat and I'm not entirely sure what the difference between new weird and old weird is  Mieville's descriptions of King Rat introducing Saul to his world where he discovers his own abilities and identity. The writer does a good job describes the smells and tastes very vividly. It may not be quite to everyone's taste.  The books gets very messy at times but  is worth reading for these parts alone - he also adds a nice twist to finish things off. King Rat Is basically about this guy, and a fter his father is brutally murdered a young man is dragged into a conflict. Saul Garamond lives in london and is in his mid-twenties. He comes home one night after visiting friends out of town and sneaks into his room to avoid having to talk to his father. Then things get weird...
